Anthropic launches Claude for Financial Advisors, integrated with BlackRock, Charles Schwab and other institutional tools
On September 14 Anthropic launched a financial-advisor edition of Claude, wired to BlackRock, Vanguard, Charles Schwab and other data and analytics tools; Orion shipped an MCP connector the same day and the suite is available now on Enterprise licenses.
On September 14, 2026, Anthropic released Claude for Financial Advisors, an enterprise edition of its assistant wired to investment-research, portfolio-analytics, and compliance tools from BlackRock, Vanguard, Charles Schwab, Addepar, Envestnet, iCapital, Orion, SS&C Black Diamond, Wealthbox, Wealth.com, and Zocks. The same day, Orion shipped a Model Context Protocol connector that lets advisers pull live Orion Connect portfolio data and Redtail CRM records into Claude while honoring existing Orion and Redtail permissions. Built on Anthropic's earlier financial-services connector stack, the product preserves source citations and an audit trail on outputs such as client summaries, portfolio recommendations, and compliance reviews, aligning with SEC expectations on AI governance. The suite is available now to firms on Enterprise plans; advisers can install the plugin through Anthropic's Cowork platform and may sign up for a company-hosted webinar on September 18 at 11 a.m. ET. Firms signing up before the end of September qualify for a one-time usage credit. Peter Nolan, head of assets and wealth management at Anthropic, framed the product not as a replacement for existing tools but as a conductor that links the average adviser's seven-or-so tools together and removes duplicate work around research, administration, and portfolio oversight. Kitces research cited by the company says advisers spend only about 16 percent of their time in direct client meetings, with the rest absorbed by preparation, planning, and documentation, the long-standing pain point the new suite targets. Anthropic, last valued at $965 billion in May, has been deepening partnerships across the financial sector through earlier 2026 product launches; Claude for Financial Advisors is the latest step.
