Claude Code weekly usage caps drop to 125% of baseline as Cowork Windows outage enters day five

On September 14, 2026, Anthropic's temporary 50 percent weekly limit increase on Claude Code, announced August 29, formally ended, with the new limit set at 125 percent of baseline across Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans. Compared with the 150 percent temporary cap users had during August, the effective weekly budget drops by roughly 17 percent. Anthropic framed the new 125 percent as a 25 percent increase over baseline, but it is still lower than the level most users had grown accustomed to under the temporary boost. Teams that scaled batch jobs or scheduled task frequency to match the temporary cap need to start trimming lower-priority work now to avoid hitting the new ceiling mid-week. Teams relying on Cowork on Windows for local work are advised to shift to the Claude Code CLI while the outage continues.
