Cognition announced on September 3 that its Devin coding platform has integrated OpenAI's newly released GPT-6 Astra. On the FrontierCode 1.1 benchmark, Astra on Devin scored within 0.4 points of Anthropic Claude Fable 5 at roughly 36% of the cost, a 64% reduction.
Cognition SVP of Research Silas Alberti said the team integrated the framework into GPT-6 Astra on launch day, with the model delivering state-of-the-art results on Cognition's internal benchmarks. Astra's computer use, code writing, and codebase understanding capabilities made the out-of-box testing noticeably smoother, with cleaner and more concise reports.
Enterprise customers in OpenAI's Daybreak program get access on launch day, with broader rollout to API and ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers following over the coming days. The Devin integration is one of the first major agentic coding partnerships for Astra at general availability.
