WeatherNext 3 follows the Gemini 3.8 Flash and Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber releases earlier in the month, completing a dense Google AI launch cadence in early September. The new model extends Google DeepMind's prior weather work, including GraphCast and its successors developed in collaboration with ECMWF, into a more operational production system.
