On September 10, Moonshot AI officially launched the Kimi Enterprise Partner Moonshot Program. The program builds Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) teams with system integrators across industries, embedding engineers in customer sites to bring large models into core business workflows. This is the first time a Chinese large-model company has used the FDE model for downstream AI deployment.

The FDE model was pioneered by Palantir, emphasizing on-site engineers who are accountable for business outcomes. FDE engineers embed inside the customer team, understand problems from within, discover needs, build solutions, and deliver end-to-end—rather than providing only standardized products. The model also feeds real-world pain points back into product iteration.

First-batch partners include Chinasoft International, Kingsoft Cloud, Huasun Tiancheng, Yakang, and AsiaInfo, covering software information services, telecommunications, infrastructure, and cloud computing. The program will continue to open to IT service providers, software vendors, and consulting firms. The technical foundation is Kimi K3, released by Moonshot AI in July, with 2.8 trillion parameters, native visual understanding, and a 1-million-token context window.
